Lakeview
Local Implementation Team
Lakeview LIT & Tri-Corner Community Collaborative
The Lakeview Local Implementation Team (LIT) provides a collaborative forum for partners working in the sage-steppe rangelands of the Lakeview BLM District. Initiated in 2012 by Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, the LIT brings together land managers, ranchers, conservation organizations, and biologists to support the long-term health of this complex landscape. Meetings are open to those who care about sage-steppe ecosystems and working lands within the Lakeview LIT area.
Building on this foundation, partners identified the Tri-Corner area between Hart Mountain and Sheldon National Wildlife Refuges as a priority landscape. In 2023, this led to the formation of the Tri-Corner Community Collaborative (TCC), a geographically focused sub-group of the Lakeview LIT. The TCC operates within the Lakeview LIT, and the LIT continues collaborative work both within the Tri-Corner area and across the broader Lakeview LIT geography.
The next Lakeview LIT meeting will be held in March 2026 (date forthcoming).
The next full-group Tri-Corner Community Collaborative meeting will take place January 26th, 12:30–4:00 PM, at Memorial Hall in Lakeview.
